I’ve been checking the archive weekly for god knows how long. There’s a lot of stuff I’d like to read again but no longer the title of. to save stories you like to your computer so they’re safe!
Personally I’m in to firmly non-consensual MC. I like stuff where the dom answers to no one and is enjoying themselves, and the sub once brainwashed is actively aware of and pleased by the status. I’m generally not too keen on the classical induction or “realistic” hypnosis. My interests are strongly biased towards the short story. The multi-chapter epic that’s quite popular on the site too often for my tastes either turns repetitive or extremely padded.
I’m always a bit leery of operant conditioning stuff because it’s usually not mind control-esque enough for me, but this take is excellently written, very hot, and features a dash of more conventional MC stuff as well.
Thick Pink Smoothie by Libertine
This is mainly on here for the bit where the victim makes an extremely limp stab at resistance but falls into repeating mantras, a personal favourite trope of mine.
The frame of this story is bog-standard office stuff of little interest, but the actual MC scene is extremely inventive and original.
In the Coils of Slethraa by Madcap
This definitely falls into the trap of being repetitive that a lot of multi-chapter stories fall into, but the vivid descriptions elevate it enough to deserve a recommendation.
Nevermind is almost certainly my favourite author on the site, so I’m recommending multiple stories by them. Buyer’s Remorse is a good example of their favourite trope of women being brutally brainwashed into being slaves who know what they are and love it, in this case with an excellent romantic edge that neither turns tragic or dulls the horror of enslavement.
A strong example of nevermind’s ability to write brutal induction scenes.
Service Call (nevermind) by nevermind
Another example of a memorable induction, this one particularly good for how the victim’s rationalisations of the situation keep changing.
Downfall (nevermind) by nevermind
One of nevermind’s most brutal works. Very well done.
