I made a list of stories and realized that what I enjoy falls into five categories…
- Diabolical Mind Control Conspiracy
- Docile, Feminine, and Obedient
- Science Fiction Tales
- Sapphic & Spellbound
- Self Improvement
Obviously, these are loose themes, and there will be crossover between them, but this is a starting point. I will continue to add to this page as I reread and take notes for each story.
Finally, I want to discuss how each of these stories influenced my own writing.
Diabolical Mind Control Conspiracy
There Are No Bad Girls by Vendatrix (July 2006)
This story is such a massive influence on my writing that it is hard to pin down everything I love about it. One of my biggest kinks is the reformation of career gals and their sensible shoes like Luci, er, “Officer Murdock.” Another one is when rude, nasty, women like Beki, er, “Rebecca,” are brainwashed into docile doves. I love that our heroic brainwasher does believe in reform. “Beki” is such an incredible bimbo name. I am constantly mentioning how doomed protagonists in my stories love “sensible shoes” or some variation on that because of this story. Variations on the hypno phallus scenes have appeared in them as well. The opening display scene and backstory lore on an already brainwashed woman is something I have gone back to a number of times including Feminine Obedience Academy: Pamela.
Docile, Feminine, & Obedient
New Girl by Downing Street (July 2006)
Another major influence on my own writing is stories like New Girl that “feminize the office,” so to speak. Those sensible shoes and slacks are replaced, gradually, by stiletto heels and miniskirts. I love how Angelica’s alleged low self-esteem is reversed on the women in the office to give them low self-esteem. I have written a few stories where someone returns to set up the narrative. I reread the introduction to this story while writing a part of Final Flight of The Wellington especially.
Science Fiction Tales
CORA by NickelModelTales (April 2020)
This is a really good story about a long term space flight where the crew is hypnotized by an AI. The concept of this heavily influenced Final Flight of The Miranda’s general premise.
Sapphic & Spellbound
The Enchanted Forest by If I Was Not You (December 2016)
This is a very strange, surreal, story that veers into what I would like to call “bimbo misandry.” A first mission turns the women on it into horny, air-headed, sex crazed sisters of their domain. Where do the men go? They are referred to by the locals as “aliens.” The vibes feel like so much of the science fiction stories from the sixties and seventies that I love. This story has further inspired a thought I keep pondering in my own writing: Why do women have to compete with each other? Submissive women should be sisters who have a bond in service. I think this is why I hate those career gals and their sensible shoes so much.
Self Improvement
Finding Master by Olorin247 (February 2006)
In the not too distant future, mind controllers are rampant enough that an organization is created to deprogram women from slavery and create new personalities for them. Hey, is that not just another form of mind control? Dizzy is one of those “saved” women, except she would rather not be saved at all. She can be independent until commanded, but deeply loves doing what others say and considers slavery a good thing. The doctors treating her realize that Dizzy believes slavery is freedom, and interactions with a submissive female doctor and a hunky male doctor give both women the freedom they need. The concept of Dizzy being an active participant in her own enslavement is a story beat that inspired an outline that eventually became Domestic Doll Services: Guilt Alleviation.
