Hello there, I’m Half Shim!
I’ve been reading the archive since around the turn of the millenium, and finally got up the courage to start posting my own stories about ten years in after following some of the greats for a long time.
My tastes are fairly wide ranging, encoming FF, MF and FD tales. As such, I’ve ended up with some eclectic picks here, but several things hold true:
I love rubber, bondage, domination, and various methods of control that some people view as squicky. Parasites, worms, brain spikes, drugs, it’s all good as far as I’m concerned, as long as the main character loses control of themselves, pushing them towards supreme obedience.
Above all, I prefer my stories to have a happy ending... it just so happens that my form of ‘happy’ requires the protagonist to be thoroughly brainwashed and corrupted, pleased to serve their new Mistress or Master.
In some respects, I suppose that makes me a bit of a softy, because I don’t enjoy needless cruelty.
Now, let’s get to the picks!
The Loosing of the Dark by Tabico
Tabico will show up on many pick lists, and for good reason. She is the undisputed Queen of squick, with various control mechanisms spanning parasites, chthulu-like monsters, worms, spiders, robots, you name it!
I’ve decided to highlight this story because it’s a wonderful bit of dark fantasy where a small town is invaded by the Dark Queen.
Soon after, the inhabitants find themselves strangely drawn to the different methods of control the Queen employs, such as brain spikes, or black leather garments with greasy, oiled interiors.
The men turn into monsters, the women into brainless drones, and the main character finds herself fighting her own desires as one of the Queen’s Coursers courts her to their pack.
Horror, obedience, and control, a wonderfully enticing mix.
Our main character gets snatched off the street and introduced to a strange facility filled with individuals dressed in rubber suits. Once under the influence of their milk, her body slowly turns into a milking cow. A slow mental transformation ensues as her drugged mind succumbs to the influence of the milk. The scenes where she is bound and milked are extremely exciting.
Two sisters are brainwashed individually by an evil Mistress, then pitted against each other to prove their ultimate obedience to the organization that kidnapped them. One of them proves a bit troublesome to process, and even manages to temporarily escape before being brought back into the fold. I love the way they are used to break each other down, along with the epilogue that shows them capturing their family as well.
The main character gets a little too interested in her roommate’s bondage bed, and ends up helplessly captured. Her roommate then trains her to be a good slave for her Masters, using a drug to help the process along. I love the way the protagonist is trained during the story via the use of gags, ass plugs, and strap-on dildos. The helplessness of her predicament while she is slowly brainwashed to accept what is being done to her really hits for me.
Imagine a mall with that strange store, the one you were too nervous to enter. The one containing the bondage gear, the rubber outfits, the straps, the Mistress you can’t forget. The store that always seems to re-enter your mind at unexpected moments, a desire to return, to dress as you are required, to obey. So glad you’ve found that place.
Maidenhead by starro
A classic tale of exploration gone wrong, culminating in a starfish alien mind controlling our protagonist by attaching to her privates and growing throughout her body. Similar in some respects to the movie Alien, but with less chest bursting nastiness. Instead, infestation is the name of the game, with the masters soon spreading to take over the entire ship.
Master of Puppets (Tang) by Tang
Sian is a journalist who goes to interview a rocker. It turns out that he has a type, which happens to be tattooed gothic rubber slaves. He takes a liking to Sian, bodyswapping her with his assistant, who evaluates her body and declares that with a few alterations, she will make for a lovely slave in his harem. From there, some delicious corruption occurs, with Sian giving up her old life to embrace her new Master.
