A little about me...
The kinds of stories I like center on the control. A slow fall, a strong induction, techno magic VR headsets, special pheromones, magic spells, or any other mechanism isn’t as important as the nature of the control. I also prefer when all parties are enjoying themselves, artificially induced or otherwise. The struggle of the subject fighting against what they think is right versus what feels too good to stop is something I can only really find here.
As a result I prefer the subject’s POV where I can really see what they’re experiencing. My favorite methods of control are biological or chemical, I’m not as big a fan of instant control or reality warping unless the personality of the subject is largely still in place, just tweaked. What I don’t like is the rough brutal stuff. I don’t mind any BDSM if all parties are enjoying themselves but if people are getting beaten and tears are rolling I’m moving on.
Preamble aside here’s my picks in no particular order:
Really I could pick any story of Limerick’s. He’s my favorite writer on the archive and it’s not particularly close. I’m choosing this one because it begins one of his sub worlds and the characters pop up as easter eggs in other stories. Terri’s transformation from gaunt goth to buxom beauty all while she tries to put the pieces together losing more of herself keeps the story moving. Then each chapter has a small vignette building the world and showing just how easy and fun it could be to just let go and enjoy.
Crime and Punishment: Bimbomania! by Chrystal Wynd
This is a sequel to Crime and Punishment: Night at the Museum which is also great but I prefer this one. Each character goes through their own transformation in a game show that’s rigged from the start against Erica.
There’s no surprises in this story, just a captured agent slowly falling for his interrogator. The induction and teasing toward the inevitable is a delight.
Hypnovember 2025: Ovulation Apocalypse by Mesmerciless
I love the sheer force of biology in this one. Violet has no chance and all her talk of self discipline crumbles at the first real challenge.
The Monstrous Ranch by GigglingGoblin
Another author I could have picked any story from. This is their magnum opus to me. If you ever wondered what erotic activities esoteric fae would get up to there’s a chapter in here to explain it.
Pretty much what I’m looking for in a story. Anna’s conversion to catgirl is a foregone conclusion and I’m appreciative for the lax security on the ship.
One of the most prolific authors on the archive, this is still my favorite. It plays with the idea of control and corruption in a short hot scene.
Dangerous Questions by EyeofSerpent
EyeofSerpent was the first writer I learned the name of and anxiously awaited new stories from week after week. This story was the first Corelle D’Amber story I’ve read and Eye has built up a wonderful world around this character that reminds me a lot of Anne Rice’s Lestat. Experiencing Corelle’s power through others as flashes of intense visual description stuck with me for decades.
This might have been the first story I read on the archive. The controller is the omnipotent type and has his eyes on the titular Jennifer. Mark is a monster at the start and normally this kind of story would put me off. What pulls it into my picks is the character growth of both Jennifer and Mark.
If At First You Do Succeed by Flibinite
I’m trying to avoid stories that have many picks already but I’d be remiss if I skipped this one. This is the pinnacle of slow burns and forever has a special place as one of my favorite stories.
