My tastes in mind control stories are probably fairly vanilla. I like both female-dominant and male-dominant stories, although I prefer there be at least one attractive female character involved. I dislike cruelty in mind control stories, unless it is done particularly well, and I don’t care about unrelated fetishes like foot fetishes or specific clothing, although when directly tied to the control of the “victim,” I can find it hot by proxy. I couldn’t care less one way or the other if a male character has a foot fetish, but if the sexy seductress uses it to manipulate him, or instills one to demonstrate her control, that’s hot.

I prefer when the method of mind control is clever, rather than just “this character can control minds.” Those stories can be fine, but I love a clever plot and a genius mind controller. This is partly why I am particularly drawn to superhero stories, especially ones with clever plots.

The other thing I love is power reversals. A secretary hypnotizing her boss? Yes, please! A college student controlling her professor? Absolutely. Stories where the hypnotist is punching down can still be great, but in general, I prefer the reversal. I also love a good forced betrayal. The executive betraying his CEO friend to the woman who broke his mind, the woman who introduces her best friend roommate to her new master, the woman who chooses her new owner over her spouse? Give me all of that and more.

This is an amazing community and an amazing project. I have been reading stories from this site for so many years. It is great to finally contribute myself. If you are new to the site and looking for recommendations, here is my list, presented in alphabetical order. Please, have fun, and enjoy an amazing collection of stories!

Attempted Takeover by obedienceispleasure

I mentioned before that I love MC stories with clever mind control techniques, and this story has that. The setup here is wonderful, and the MC slow and gradual enough that it feels earned, and the protagonist’s fall is delicious. There is some cruelty involved in this story, in the form of public humiliation, but seeing as how our protagonist deserves it, it doesn’t bother me much. This is a wonderful and clever story.

Boob Tube by Amus Cobblestone

I love the idea of subliminal messages changing the behavior of those who are exposed to them. Typically I prefer when the victim is exposed to them over longer periods of time, but I love the setup and the follow-through on this story. Any story where a woman hypnotizes or at least deepens a man with her breasts will be high on my list, and the betrayal aspect I mentioned earlier pushes this one over the edge, so to speak. This is one of those stories that ends for me before it actually ends, but it is one of my favorites.

Clarification Question by willgb5602000

I had a very hard time narrowing my list down to just ten stories. How good is “Clarification Question,” you may ask? It’s so good that not only was it an automatic inclusion for my list, but I recommend it without even finishing it. It is 30 chapters long, and I’ve only read about a third of it. Chapter 4 alone is one of the best stories on this site, in my opinion. It is keyed in perfectly to my frequency. Give it a chance. If your tastes are anything like mine, you will not regret it.

Marvelously Captured by Secluded Night

I really struggled deciding which of the superhero stories to choose for my list. As I mentioned, superhero/superheroine stories hold a special place in my, uh, heart, and this site has many, many good ones. I chose this story because of the cleverness of the mind control. I think its brilliant, and something I haven’t really seen elsewhere. This story has two chapters, but I mostly stick to the first one. Very, very good story of superheroine corruption and betrayal.

The Nimfonian Takeover by RelaxationObsession

I love SciFi, and who doesn’t love a good “sexy female alien seduces and control the ship” story? This is another multi-chapter piece that I rarely wind up reading the whole thing. The first two chapters are good enough for me, but I do like where the story goes after that, as well. The element of betrayal is there, but more subdued than in some stories, and those aliens are at least as alluring as you would want them to be.

Saved by the Bell by Oliver Yates

I love the (relatively) slow progression of the fall of our protagonist in this story. It is a fairly unique mind control apparatus and very well described, and has that same element of betrayal that I like. This is a story I found pretty early in my time exploring this site, and it always sticks in my mind.

School Girl Take Over by A Nony Mouse

This is the first story I reading on this site. I likely read some before it, but this is the earliest one I . This story has two parts, and both are good, but it is definitely part two that does it for me. I read a lot of A Nony Mouse’s stuff when I first discovered this site (and what a great author name), and I debated some other stories by them, because there are a lot of wonderful ones to choose from, but being my first, I had to go with this one.

Strong-Man vs Mistress Penelope by Ned

This is my other choice for a superhero themed story, this time with a femdom take. The obvious analogies to “real” superheroes notwithstanding, this story does some fun things with the setup that I like a lot, and I am quite taken with the mind controller. The protagonist struggling when he is already in deep, deep trouble is a wonderful touch, and the teasing adds a lot. This story also plays around nicely with the betrayal angle that I like.

Submission by Jukebox

You could have a Reader’s Pick list of JUST Jukebox stories, and it would still be incredibly difficult to narrow it down to only ten. Of all the Jukebox stories I have enjoyed, this one and the follow-up story, “Blank,” are the two that never quite escape my mind. I struggled deciding which one I would put on my list, because I like them both so, so much, but I went with “Submission” because it was the first of the two and a little more unique with its epistolary format. But you really can’t go wrong with a Jukebox story.

Talked Me into It by Daphne

I love a story where the framing device turns out to be something a little different than you originally think. On the surface, this initially sounds like a story I wouldn’t love because of the nature of the mind control. But the characters feel so plausible, and the unveiling of the story is so satisfying, that I don’t mind. The twist at the end is one of those that feels perfectly logical and natural, and you sort of kick yourself for not seeing it coming earlier.
