I’m mostly interested in mental transformations and their results, rather than the process of mind control itself. Smart to dumb, married to single, mature career woman to teenybopper mentality, that sort of thing. I don’t really care who the dom is, though I have a strong preference for female subs/victims. (The main exception is that I love to see couples downgraded together, especially if the wife/girlfriend trends bimbo, and the husband trends sexless loser.)
Related to that last point, I love “relationship amnesia” stories, where one or both of a loving couple are made to forget their partner. Perhaps it is not a surprise that I enjoy stories with mean or unfair endings.
The oddest “wrinkle” for me, is that while I love dumbification and bimbofication most of the time, I also really love virginification/purification. These stories are far rarer here, but stories where promiscuous women or prostitutes are transformed into virginal women are great.
My Picks:
Probably my favorite story on the EMCSA, and one that I’ve read again and again. One of the best relationship amnesia stories of all time. Seeing the wife regressed to her single, stripper persona, and becoming more wild and slutty thanks to the mirror trigger is amazing, alongside the husband’s efforts to track her down before the transformation becomes permanent. I love that it all starts off consensual, and quickly goes off the rails. Delicious. Great “Be Careful What You Wish For” piece.
Doorway (Flem the Raven) by Flem the Raven
A short, well crafted relationship amnesia story. Seeing Miryem’s plan to use magic to play out her kinky maid fantasies spiral out of control is an absolute pleasure. I love the sense of playing with fire, the sort of destructive, overwhelming desire that drives Miryem throughout the story, and which ultimately results in the story’s final conclusion.
The Latest Virgin by D. Holzer
One of the rare purification/virginification stories on the archive. Seeing a sexually confident seductress transform herself into a good, Christian girl is fascinating to watch. While the truth ends up being more complicated, the initial suggestion that she accidentally left herself stuck as a pure, Christian wifey for much longer than intended is a wonderful one. This is the kind of story that makes one wish that there were far more purification stories than there actually are, because it is such an interesting breath of fresh air.
A classic dumbification story from back in the ASSTR days. The central mechanic of the story: Ginger’s intelligence becomes lower the shorter her hair becomes, allowing for two humiliating changes to play out simultaneously, and seeing someone so proud of their intelligence brought down a peg (or more than a peg!) and turn into a horny slut with no brains is incredibly hot.
The Secret Weapon (Ice Bear) by Ice Bear
A fun dumbification romp, where a brilliant girl is turned into a silly plaything by her Quiz Bowl team. Cassie is just the right amount of silly as a bimbo, and this is definitely one of Ice Bear’s best stories.
Parents Just Don’t Understand by Pan
This one is a qualified recommendation. The first 75% of the story is so right up my alley it is scary. I ed Pan’s Patreon at the time it was coming out, just so I could read chapters early. This story is a great mental age regression story, where the 20-something protagonist starts being treated, and (when she finally meets her mother’s hypnotist) acting more like a rebellious teenage girl. It is fun to see her reduced responsibilities and freedoms, immature friends, and new attitude throughout. I will say that I personally don’t like the ending very much, but the rest of it is such a perfect fit for my tastes I forgive it.
I tend to prefer shorter stories, but this is a great slow burn incest story, where a daughter uses hypnosis to swap places with her mom. It’s fun to see the mom turned into a teenybopper, and the family slowly come to accept that the daughter is actually the wife and mother of everyone else.
Controlling by Mytransformations
A great downgrade story, where a jealous woman, Katie, sabotages her more successful best friend, Jennifer, into a shadow of her former self. A wonderful, humiliating combination of weight gain, virginification, and nerdification. Jennifer’s fall is so deliciously mean spirited and unfair, and I love the steady sense of progression (regression?) throughout the story, as Jennifer keeps hitting worse and worse rock bottoms.
